Which email marketing companies can be considered the best? Which among the multitude of options available can give you the best results for your email marketing campaigns? The following are ten of the most commendable email marketing companies at present. The have been evaluated and ranked based on their set of features, reliability, deliverability, ease of use, and cost-efficiency.

  1. GraphicMail

GraphicMail offers a two-week no-commitment free trial period that allows users to access almost all of the features and functions that come with the paid version of the service. However, not many will appreciate the interface. It’s likely that some users would even find it cluttered. There are many templates available but they look rather generic. The range of tools provided is comparable to what most other email marketing services provide but they may confuse users who are new to email marketing. The interface is not very intuitive. Graphical’s plan prices are comparable to what many other services offer. For 2,000 subscribers, the price is $25.00. The highest plan, with 100,000 subscribers, costs $520.95.

  1. Campaigner

Campaigner offers an email marketing solution that claims to enable users to target lists so they can achieve higher ROI. This comes with A/B split testing, advanced segmentation, and drip campaigns to leverage automation. It is a good choice for beginners in email marketing. It has an intuitive dashboard that readily summarizes recent campaigns and provides detailed reporting. Also, its templates look professionally designed. A free trial period is offered to tempt potential users along with a cancel-anytime policy and free 24/7 customer support. However, this free trial requires credit card details.

  1. Benchmark Email

Benchmark does not have grandiose claims except for allowing users to create and send beautiful email. It aims to help email marketers easily manage their campaigns. It features an easy to use interface with a good range of features including live customer support and Google Analytics tracking. It can create responsive or mobile-friendly email templates and displays real-time reports. To entice users, it offers a free plan for up to 2,000 subscribers without requiring credit details. Unfortunately, it does not come with Gmail and or other third party contact integration. It also does not support mobile previews and glitches here and there may be encountered occasionally.

  1. Campaign Monitor

Campaign Monitor promises to make it easy to create, send, and measure the performance of email marketing campaigns. It offers drag-and-drop tools for intuitive email creation. It also provides an A/B testing function that facilitates meaningful tweaks to achieve the best campaign results. Additionally, it comes with a date-based autoresponder, multiple sign-up forms, and an RSS-to-email function ideal for blog broadcasts. It’s a good option for new and experienced users. However, it’s far from perfect as it lacks support for an image library. It also does not display real-time analytics and is incapable of importing contacts from Gmail or other third party address books. It’s also worth noting that it leaves much to be desired when it comes to live technical support.

  1. AWeber

AWeber is one of the email marketing companies that promise easy email marketing campaigns with good results. Considering the extensive range of features it offers, the claim is not really farfetched. It offers time-saving autoresponders, a system for quickly growing email lists, integration with several online services including Salesforce and Shopify, simplified list importing, live expert customer support, and high email deliverability. The company’s plans are not expensive but not among the cheapest either. There is no free plan available but the company offers a 30-day free trial period.

  1. Constant Contact

Constant Contact is notable for having one of the easiest to use editor that makes it easy to customize email campaigns. It supports the importing of contacts from Gmail and outlook. It has two types of plans, Email and Email Plus. The former is the cheaper option that provides mobile-friendly templates, detailed monitoring, and expert email marketing advice. The Email Plus plan has all of the Email plan’s features plus added features that simplify email automation and the ability to change template logos and colors. A free no-credit-card-required trial is offered for those who want to test drive the service. If there’s anything major to complain about Constant Contact, it’s probably the limited autoresponder capabilities and the occasionally unresponsive interface.

  1. iContact

Offering a broad range of features, iContact is one good option for those who are new to email marketing. It offers multiple email builders, unlimited emails, the ability to create “do not contact” and unsubscribe lists, and solid social media integration. It also comes with a survey tool. It lives up to its claim of being able to easily manage subscribers and produce appealing email marketing campaigns. However, it lacks the ability to import contacts from Gmail and other third party contact lists. It has an autoresponder feature but is somewhat limited. Also, it does not come with Google Analytics.

  1. VerticalResponse

There’s just no reason not to consider VerticalResponse one of the best options for email marketing. It offers a generous free plan that comes with almost all of the features you would expect from a good email marketing tool. Yes, it offers not just a trial period but a free plan for up to 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 email sent per month. It has an autoresponder feature and unlimited sign-up forms. It provides numerous email templates and a drag-and-drop editor for intuitive customization. The resulting email have responsive or mobile-friendly designs. It’s emphasis on social media marketing is also worth noting. Technical support is through chat, email, and phone. Expect a few glitches when working with the dashboard but these shouldn’t be a deal breaker.

  1. MailChimp

MailChimp claims to allow users to send better email. Arguably, the company largely satisfies most standards of what it means to be a good email marketing service. It has highly detailed reports including subscriber profiles to track engagement and website activity. Best of all, it offers a free plan for up to 2,000 subscribers and 12,0000 emails per month without credit card details required. It does not come with analytics tools and an autoresponder but it’s definitely better than most other free plans offered by other companies.

  1. GetResponse

The claim that it is the world’s easiest email marketing service may be contestable but GetResponse is overall one of the best there is. It has an intuitive email creator that yields professional looking and appealing emails that are also responsive or mobile friendly. It provides autoresponders and a landing page creator and host. Technical support is live and 24/7. Moreover, it claims to have 99% email deliverability. While it may not have a free plan, it offers a 30-day trial period and attractively low rates. Its lowest plan (for 1,000 subscribers) only costs $15 while the 2,500-subscriber plan (the base paid plan of most other companies) costs $25. These costs can even be made lower by up to 18% through the annual discount for those who prefer annual billing. When it comes to reporting, GetResponse offers one of the most detailed but well-organized reports.

Conclusion

The ranking here is admittedly subjective and is only based on a few instances of trying the email services. Nevertheless, the ten options reviewed here are without a doubt good choices. If you ever need an email marketing service, don’t hesitate to try any of the ones mentioned above. We liked GetResponse best and would love to see which email marketing company you like best. The Internet brings many advantages to businesses. It’s not just useful in finding information online; it also facilitates efficient communication. There are many software tools available to make it easier to communicate through the Internet. For businesses and organizations, in particular, there are many software or applications that enable online meetings or web conferencing to make it more convenient, faster, and cheaper to discuss deals, close sales or make important decisions.

top 10 tools for online meeting

The following are the best tools that can enable flawless meetings online:

  1. ClickMeeting

Businesses and organizations that are looking for a fast and efficient web conferencing solution can turn to ClickMeeting as one of the best options available. It is designed to be a video conferencing and webinar software tool that suits the needs of education, health care, recruitment, sales, marketing, financial service, real estate, information technology, and nonprofit organizations. It comes with online collaboration tools, full desktop sharing and control feature, a private chat function, simultaneous chat translation, and a host of other features. Interested potential users can use the 30-day free trial period to get acquainted with the features before deciding to pay for it.

  1. Adobe Connect

Adobe Systems is perhaps most commonly associated with the Acrobat PDF reader and its extremely popular PhotoShop graphics editing software. This software giant, however, is also big when it comes to web conferencing solutions. Its Adobe Connect software is one of the more reliable web conferencing software around. It’s an advanced tool so it may not be for everyone. It may too much for the needs of small businesses. Adobe Connect has a Flash-based architecture that comes with a host of features including the ability to annotate files and videos, share desktops, and rearrange the interface for a more personalized experience.

  1. Skype

Free but full-featured, Skype is certainly one of the best options when it comes to online communication. It provides almost everything to be expected in an effective web conferencing software tool. It even supports HD video calling. Audio quality is excellent. Since it is now a property of Microsoft, Windows computer users can also expect a seamless user experience (with the Windows OS). There’s just a little disadvantage, though: video talks are limited to a maximum of only five participants.

  1. Cisco WebEx Meeting Center

Bringing with it the renown of a famous multinational networking equipment manufacturer and over 15 years of experience in the field of networking and the Internet, Cisco WebEx is arguably the oldest web conferencing solution on the market. It offers a clean and mature interface that demonstrates what experience can do to a web conferencing software tool. It’s also worth noting that Cisco is not stingy when it comes to investing on the infrastructure responsible for the reliable Cisco WebEx Meeting Center service.

  1. iMeet

iMeet offers an atypical concept for web conferencing—and it’s something that can be considered convincing or compelling. It provides a custom URL through which parties who want to engage in an audio-video web conference can converge. Yes, it is web browser based so there is no need to install any application or client to be able to use it. It can host up to 15 participants simultaneously. Unfortunately, it’s not a perfect execution. Users will occasionally experience stuttering in the video as well as audio delays or dropped conferences.

  1. Citrix GoToMeeting

Citrix GoToMeeting is notable for being able to provide exemplary ease of use. With it, meetings can be initiated with just one click. Also, conferences can be made not only through the Internet but also through a toll-free call-in number. It does not have as many features as what other top web conferencing solutions are able to offer but for those who value simplicity, Citrix GoToMeeting is doubtlessly a very tempting option.

  1. MeetingBurner

MeetingBurner’s highlight features are its ability to facilitate web seminars and enable screen sharing — and it does these effectively. Even better, it provides free conferencing or web seminars for up to 10 people. Like iMeet, it is also browser-based so there is no need to install anything other than the web browser.

  1. ooVoo Pro

ooVoo Pro gained quite an endorsement from no less than the United States House of Representatives so being on this list shouldn’t come as a surprise. This capable web conferencing tool does a great job doing what it is expected to do. For many, its interface may look like a more advanced IM client so it feels and appears quite familiar or intuitive.

  1. Fuze Meeting Pro

Fuze Meeting Pro is the “youngest” web conferencing solution on this list but it is by no means a slacker. It deserves to be listed here for its extensive multi-platform support. It is possible to host web conferences with participants using an iOS device, Android, and even a BlackBerry. Of course, it also works on Windows and Mac computers. It also supports multiple monitors and up to 10 simultaneous camera feeds. Possibly, with its refreshing interface, it can make web conferencing feel new for those who have been using web conferencing solutions for a long time.

  2. Omnijoin This highly capable web conferencing software allows users to create a customizable virtual meeting room. It has a prominently Microsoft Office-like overall design and user interface with the noticeable use of a ribbon with tabs housing the most commonly used features of the application. In terms of audio and video quality, Omnijoin is more than average. Additionally, this web conferencing tool comes with a sharing feature that allows users to share all or a part of what can be seen on their desktops including documents (Word, Open Word, or texts), presentations, spreadsheets, and multimedia content being played.

Choosing any of these web conferencing solutions is unlikely going to be a bad decision. Just be sure to properly evaluate their features to find out if they are able to address your needs and preferences

Most small businesses run on tight budgets. As a result, it is common for these business owners to avoid investing in tools and services that they may not need immediately. But according to a report published on AllStream, the Canadian network service provider, these business owners may be treading on thin ice – in a survey of more 1288 SMBs worldwide, it was found that more than 47% of them did not have a disaster recovery plan in place.

Disaster Recovery Tools

If you think this is not alarming enough, consider this – more than 54% of the surveyed customers reported to have switched vendors due to unreliable IT systems that were exposed from such disasters. There are a number of free and low cost disaster recovery tools that are available in the market for small businesses today. Here is a top 10 list of these tools

  1. Macrium Reflect

This is by far the best disk imaging and cloning software that we have used. The free version of the software is indended for personal use although the paid versions are not too expensive either. The Standard version costs $44.99 and comes with features like file and folder backup, recovery from Windows boot menu, incremental backups and backup scripting. This is in addition to the disk imaging, cloning, backup scheduling and support for Linux, Windows XP/7/8/PE that is available in the free edition.

  1. Clonezilla

If your business is hard-pressed for budget, that should not prevent you from taking steps to mitigate potential disasters. Clonezilla is an open source software that works well for both self-employed programmers as well as SMBs that have more than 40 computers to handle. In the case of latter, you will need to deploy the Clonezilla Server Edition – downloads are available both for CD/DVDs as well as USB flash drives.Although Clonezilla is an amazing tool, you should note that it primarily performs only disk imaging and cloning and other advanced disaster mitigation services are not available.

  1. DriveImageXML

This is an ideal tool for medium sized businesses that have over a 100 computers to manage. One reason why DriveImageXML trumps over the other tools in the list is because of its ability to create images from hard drives that are currently in use. In addition to this, file recovery is relatively easier using this software thanks to the Windows Volume Shadow Services technology that this is based on. DriveImageXML is free to use for single computer personal uses and a 100 computer license is available for $500.

  1. Acronis Business Backup

One of the advantages of the Acronis disaster recovery solution is scalability. You could deploy Acronis as a small team of one or two people and can seamlessly scale it up as your business grows. The backup options are seamless too and lets you store anything from a single file to an entire server without much hassle. Similarly, the recovery option too is quick and we have seen an entire server back up in a matter of minutes. The only downside to it is that the price can be a little higher than the alternate solutions available. Acronis is available for Windows and Mac computers.

  1. StorageCraft ShadowProtect Small Business Server

Unlike other services that offer variants that suit personal users, small businesses and potentially large enterprises as well, the StorageCraft ShadowProtect is built keeping just the small business user in mind. ShadowProtect captures data every 15 minutes and comes with features that enable remote deployment, data integrity (that checks if the potentially recovered document will work properly) and backup transfer between machines.

  1. BackupAssist

If you are looking for disaster recovery for files that extend beyond your Windows Server, then BackupAssist can be an option. Their features are quite similar to what is available on StorageCraft. They also have dedicated tools to help with mailbox recovery, SQL restoration and a cloud-based deployment and recovery.

  1. Revert.io

Today, a number of businesses have migrated to the cloud and thus may not need the Windows Server recovery tools listed above. While the cloud based applications have their own data backup and recovery services in place, that may not be of help if you or one of your employees accidentally delete a file or a folder. Revert.io is a service that can help you out in such instances. This is a SaaS based tool that takes daily backups of your DropBox, Email Newsletter contacts and CRM so that you may easily recover data if lost by accident. Revert.io is free for email newsletter while backup of other services start at $4.99 a month.

  1. Dell AppAssure

While the tools listed above work great for the different scenarios they are meant to work for, they can prove to be a costly cost center if you have data across physical machines, third party cloud applications and on your virtual server. The features of Dell AppAssure are similar to what is listed already above. Except that it unifies data protection across cloud, virtual and physical machines. I must however point out that AppAssure has been built keeping the large enterprise in mind and so not all features might be of use to a small business. So opt for this only if your needs require such a solution.

  1. Continuous Data Protector

Except for Acronis, none of the software tools listed above offer dedicated disaster recovery tools for VMWare infrastructure. Continuous Data Protector (CDP) Virtual Appliance is one that fills this gap. The Virtual Appliance is built to recover databases, message data, files and can scale to recover the entire VMWare system.

  1. Storix For Linux

Linux still comprises a small percentage of the small business ecosystem. But if you are a small business that has based all your systems off Linux, then Storix is a disaster recovery system that you should check out. Their Adaptable System Recovery (ASR) is different from image-based backups in that it is possible to recover Linux systems from multiple hardware and virtual environments. Storix is an ideal tool not just for disaster scenarios but also for regular hardware migration and cloning that are extremely critical during Linux server migrations.

Web Conferences or Webinars are a very effective method for gaining greater insight from your industry, getting more meaningful feedback from clients and prospects and growing your business beyond the limitations of geography. It allows you to deliver content to anyone, anywhere, in a personalized and highly interactive environment via screen sharing, audio-video calls, questions and answers sessions and even language translation.

the benefits of webinar services

The typical webinar attendee conversion rate in the online marketing industry is approximately 42% which is significantly higher than the average sales or support medium in use online today. There’s great potential for what webinars can bring for your business regardless of the industry you’re in. Customers and the community in general, love opportunities to interact and get more value on whatever their interests might be; so give them what they want.

We once covered 10 great Webinar services so here’s 10 ways webinars can benefit and improve your business.

No Limitations on Reach

There’s no limitation on whom you can reach and where they’re situated. A company in Brazil could easily cater to an audience in Japan to close deals and provide support.

Build Loyalty with existing Clients/Customers

It’s a powerful way to cement existing relationships with clients and partners as the medium presents many tools to deliver value, especially through a premium provider such as ClickWebinar. A premium provider allows businesses to leverage their platform to deliver high quality content without the need to manage the complicated technicalities of live streaming. It’s an easy and low cost way to add value and build relationships.

Shorter Lead Time

A webinar can be up and running in a couple of weeks as you prepare your content and bring your team and other assets together to deliver quality content. The logistics of the event are not as sophisticated as planning a conference at a physical location which demands proper parking, airfare and accommodation for speakers, catering, venue preparation, etc. Depending on how much content and value you have to offer, you could even run a webinar every month – something that would not be possible for a physical event.

Conduct Market Research

Use the webinar as an opportunity to gain insight, concerns and challenges from participants about your subject. Because the webinar is in real-time, with the benefit of audio, you’ll hear the customers’ unadulterated opinions which are invaluable for helping you build better products and services and grow a more relevant business.

Create Marketable Products from Recordings

Many Webinar service providers have webinar recording features built in which allow you to capture all the spontaneous value of the event and later present the content in podcasts and even video. This content can be used to further market your business or sold.

Entice Prospects to Buy

It’s a low-cost way to give potential customers a “try before you buy” experience which will help you close more sales faster.

Reduce Marketing Costs

Webinars typically offer high conversion rates since your participants are usually in buying mode, are qualified and have already shown some interested in you and what you have to offer. Because of this targeted approach, marketing via this medium provides much greater success than advertising via traditional mediums and even social media; resulting in a higher ROI on your budget.

Improve Product Support

Use webinars to answer customer questions, explain how they can use the product more effectively, and get feedback for future enhancements. By including existing customers in occasional webinar events it creates a sense of belonging and the idea that you genuinely care about their experiences even after the sale. It’s a powerful way to ensure client issues and ideas are addressed and lowers product churn rate.

Reinforce Through Guest Expert Attendees

You do not need to be the speaker of all your webinars. Invite a guest presenter to share the stage and deliver a unique spin on what your audience may be accustomed to. By getting well-known, respected and established guest speakers you will help to validate your brand as you seek to gain a stronger foothold in your niche.

Give Clients Greater Access

Customers want access and they enjoy the prestige of knowing that they’re treated specially. Use webinars to give greater access to you, your insight and resources rather than being an obscure CEO in the background, for instance. This builds valuable trust which will help propel your business further.

The post Top 10 Email Marketing Mistakes That Even Pro Marketers Make appeared first on VagueWare.com.

So you have entered the colorful world of email marketing, your clients are piled up outside your door waiting for their campaigns to hit a generous amount of conversions and you sulk in your office staring at your computer wondering why aren’t you delivering results. You thought you’ve done everything by the book but still, analytics say otherwise.

10 Email Marketing Mistakes

Fret not. Even pro marketers sometimes fail to generate the expected conversions. Why? Check these common mistakes that lead to the downfall of every campaign and reflect whether you have made these at one point in your career.

  1. Neglecting the numbers

The performance of every campaign doesn’t solely depend on the email marketing system you use but in the careful examination and analysis of the numbers it generates. These numbers are the most important details your client needs so intensive study on how to improve this is the best way to keep a client.

  1. Failing to test the email

The challenge of trial-and-error is sometimes too risky but this usually returns with a great number. By tweaking the headline, content, offers and design, you get to compare the numbers it generates until you reach client expectations.

  1. Failing to consider reader’s expectations

Before sending out emails, you have to have a clear purpose in mind. By knowing where the emails are leading and giving the readers a gist of what is to come, you build their excitement for the following messages that they will receive.

  1. Exclusion of call-to-actions

How will an email generate numbers without CTAs? Your goal might be to lead them to the client’s landing page for a CTA but if it takes too much of the recipient’s time, not everyone might bite the bait. A good solution for that is split testing to see what works and what not.

  1. Monetize your content

Content is the heart of the email. Create an appealing message that will influence your recipients without sounding too commercial. You can also use content advertising generators such as Viglink. They do automatic insertions of contextually relevant links to product offers which then increases your content’s quality while allowing you the opportunity to monetize. Use Viglink Anywhere for this.

  1. Forgetting about the importance of list segmentation

By parting the list into different areas such as interests, sign up dates and activity reports, you will get to craft a message specific to their needs which, in turn, will give back better digits. Here’s another read on list segmentation and how to get it done.

  1. Sending out without the recipient’s consent

Receiving an email from an unknown source? Definitely a spammer. This is what most recipients think of when they receive a newsletter or a campaign from a company they haven’t signed up with. Gathering a list from subscribers is always better than buying a list of names who haven’t heard of the company you work with.

  1. Terrible subject lines

The first thing a recipient will notice upon your entry in his inbox is the single-line content in the subject field. Be sure this is will motivate them to open your message instead of marking you as spam.

  1. Underestimating email frequency

When to send? How often do I send? These questions plague every marketer and only the numbers from your tests will show the best time to send emails. Take a moment to study how often you should remind readers about the company’s offers.

10. Forgetting to personalize

There is something inviting about personalization. Oftentimes, personalized emails get to be read through the end. By putting the recipient’s name on top of the message, you give the impression that it is directed to him and not some commercially crafted one you sent to a thousand more names in the database.

Companies now lean on the advantages of online marketing, email being one of the gateways to their success. Having in-depth knowledge on how to work your way through a number of marketers will sure build your career as the one every business needs.
